Fritz Brinkman


Mr. Brinkman founded Align Midstream in March, 2013. Mr. Brinkman has over 40 years of energy experience. Mr. Brinkman’s primary responsibility is sourcing opportunities in the midstream sector through both acquisitions and greenfield opportunities including: pipelines, processing, treating and compression. Prior to founding Align, Mr. Brinkman was VP of Business Development with Tenaska Capital Management. Prior to Tenaska, Mr. Brinkman was President, CEO and founder of Nexus Gas Partners which was sold to Regency Gas Partners within 14 months of its founding. Prior to Nexus, Mr. Brinkman initiated and developed the acquisition of Regency Gas Partners with Hicks Muse in 2004. Prior to Regency, Mr. Brinkman was Chairman, CEO and majority owner of Excel Resources. Mr. Brinkman spent his first 16 years working with Northern Natural Gas and Tennessee Gas Transmission in the areas of operations, supply, marketing and transportation. Mr. Brinkman attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha.



Mr. Osborn joined Align Midstream in October, 2013. Mr. Osborn previously served at the COO & VP of Engineering at Align I.  Prior to Align Midstream, Mr. Osborn worked as the Director of Engineering at PVR Partners.  Matthew has over 16 years of energy and engineering experience.  His background includes natural gas gathering, processing, treating, and construction in Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.   Mr. Osborn began his career in the United States Navy serving as a Submarine Warfare Officer, ultimately qualifying as an Engineer Officer. Mr. Osborn has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M, MBA from the University of Oklahoma, and Masters in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.


CFO & VP of Corporate Development

Mr. Attaway joined Align Midstream in March of 2016, and is responsible for project evaluation, transaction execution, and strategy development. Mr. Attaway has over six years of strategy and finance experience across multiple industries, including energy, real estate, and travel and tourism. He most recently served as Director of Strategy and Finance for the Hartford Companies, a real estate development and construction company based in Colorado. While at Hartford, Mr. Attaway was a key member of a four-person, leadership team. He oversaw new project due diligence, managed financial performance and reporting of over 30 portfolio companies, and participated in strategic decision-making. He began his career with the Boston Consulting Group as an Associate in the Dallas Office. Mr. Attaway earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance and Business Honors. 



Mr. Skinner joined Align Midstream in September 2016.  Mr. Skinner began his career in the Oil and Gas fields of East Texas more than two decades ago working for various companies including UPRC, DEFS, DCP Midstream, PVR Partners, and Regency.  Prior to joining Align Midstream, Mr. Skinner served as the Director of Operations for Energy Transfer Partners Central Midcon Region, managing the operations of over 6,200 miles of pipelines, 9 cyrogenic gas processing plants, remote amine treating facilities, and over 238,000 HP of gas compression in both plant and field.  During his career he has been very fortunate to participate in the construction, commissioning, and startup of numerous pipelines and five cryogenic gas processing plants.  Lane has passionately served the midstream industry as both operator and manager.  Mr. Skinner holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Kilgore College. 



Mr. Crouse joined Align Midstream in April of 2016.  Prior to joining the Align team, Mr. Crouse was a founding partner of PSI Midstream, a private equity backed midstream company with assets in Louisiana.  PSI grew from a business plan into a company with over 600 MMCFD of cryo gas processing capacity, 200 miles of high pressure gas gathering lines, and had a successful exit to Hilcorp.  While at PSI, Mr. Crouse was responsible for commercial and business development activities, including securing and attracting new supply to PSI facilities, maintaining strategic producer relationships, and identifying and developing new business opportunities around existing assets and in new basins.  Mr. Crouse has a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, and is on the National Board of Directors for the GPA Midstream Association. 


VP of Business Development

Mr. Washburn joined Align Midstream in February 2018. Mr. Washburn has over 18 years of midstream experience with a focus on commercial, business development, and M&A. Over the course of his career, Mr. Washburn has successfully completed large scale projects in the Permian, Anadarko, and San Juan basins. Mr. Washburn has held various senior management positions with Goodnight Midstream, Energy Transfer Partners, Regency Gas Partners, and Southern Union Gas Services. Prior to joining Southern Union, Mr. Washburn spent 8 years with DCP Midstream in Midland, Texas. Mr. Washburn has a BBA in Business Management from the University of Texas Permian Basin.
